Massachusetts Boating Basics

MA Boating Basics is a state and nationally approved boating safety course geared to the young and novice boater.

General Information
  • Topics covered include basic boat design, legal requirements, navigation rules, boat handling tips, and dealing with accidents.
  • All graduates will receive a diploma and Safety Certificate, required for youth 12 through 15, and for 16 and 17 year-olds who want to operate a PWC.
  • Family participation is encouraged and has proven to be rewarding and fun.
  • Instructor: MA Enviromental Police
