A Wampanoag Cultural Presentation
Grades K-6
Please join the staff of Mashpee Recreation as we welcome the members of the Wampanoag Tribe for a Cultural Presentation.
Our Vacation Club children will hear about the history of the Tribe as well as hear stories and meet members. They will have the opportunity to view tribal regalia (clothing,jewelry,ornamentation) that is worn for particular festivals, dances, ceremonies and rituals and learn about the symbolism used in the design.
There will be additional games and activities provided by the Recreation Staff following the presentation.
Children should bring a lunch, 2 snacks and a drink. Please dress appropriately for the weather.
