INTRODUCTION TO MACHINE SEWING
 
Children will learn:
Machine Safety
Parts and operation
Applications
Threading and sewing straight and curved
Hand sewing buttons
Pattern direction

Sewing is both an artistic and mechanical craft that requires concentration and practice. Each week they will practice the basic skills first and then begin work on their project. Sample projects may include: reversible headband, wallet, stuffed animal, reversible bag, zip pencil case bag, art quilt, fish, cat or fox pillow.
